Cloud IoT Core is a managed IoT service that handles the front-end processes of IoT device deployment, management and security. It can be connected with other Google Cloud services that then support IoT application development, analytics and data storage and retrieval. The service is serverless, meaning that it doesn't require any infrastructure management. The device manager allows to manage and secure devices in a fine-grained way. Google IoT Core is particularly interesting for its out-of-the-box data insights, when connected to Google Big data analytics and ML services such as Cloud Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Bigtable, ML, Google Data Studio, or partner BI tools.
